Do I need a resale permit?
No. You start with the retail-price catalog and settle on commission for each sale, and wholesale costs stay hidden. With an approved resale permit, you are billed at wholesale and set your own selling price.
How does the money work?
On commission, you collect each sale in your own store, and at shipment the goods amount (retail minus your commission) plus shipping and handling comes out of your prepaid balance. An order is held if the balance runs short, so top it up ahead of time by bank transfer to KWAVE. The operations team records it once the money arrives.
Which channels can I sell on?
Shopify and WooCommerce stores get direct publishing and order import. For other channels, you can download a generic CSV, a Shopify import CSV, or an Instagram and Facebook catalog feed, but orders from those channels are not pulled in automatically.
When do orders ship?
Orders from your connected store are pulled in once a day, and the KWAVE US warehouse packs and ships the items it has in stock. For Shopify orders, the delivery address is fetched from Shopify and the tracking number is added, so your customer gets a shipping email. WooCommerce orders have their delivery address confirmed separately before they ship.
How is customer data handled?
KWAVE does not store your customers' street address, phone number, or email, only their name and city, state, and ZIP code. The full address is fetched from Shopify only at packing and labeling, and every lookup is logged.
How do returns work?
You handle customer service and refunds in your own store, and the KWAVE US warehouse inspects what comes back. Return costs such as the return handling fee and the restock fee are billed, except for a return caused by the warehouse shipping the wrong item. For resellable items the goods amount comes back automatically: on commission, the goods amount taken from your prepaid balance at shipment goes back onto the balance; if you are billed at wholesale, the goods charge is reversed. Damaged items and the original outbound shipping are not refunded.
